SCENIC BODY MANIPULATION // ARRIEREGARDEN
Teater Arrièregarden’s experiment “Scenic Body Manipulation” is based on a wonderment about the basic human tendency to want to look like the people around us. In the experiment, we will take a hands-on approach and soberly test and invent different methods to create physical equality:
- To what extent can we, scenically, transform two people to become visually identical?
- What techniques can be used to visually manipulate the body to achieve this illusory similarity in appearance and movement?
- How can the transformation process be staged?
