TELE(INTIMACY)

The experiment “tele(intimacy)” is led by Dorte Bjerre Jensen and is a study that began during the COVID-19 lockdown, where 4 women on opposite sides of the globe set out to explore how it is possible to create a virtual, artistic collaborative space. And find out what kinds of presence and intimacy this format unfolds.

Quote from intention report:

The project is an attempt to create a new format: Personal-Living- Rooms-Residencies (PLRR). And due to Its experimental character, we do not expect a certain outcome, but are placing ourselves in the unknown, a precarious and risky place. A place for experimentation, experiencing and reflection.

The new format is a suggestion to re-think international collaboration within performance art and networking.

(Tele)intimacy- Are You There? as an artistic project might seem experimental now, but we propose that they might will become a more regular part of the art world of the future.
