‘Aftermath’
is an in-progress black-box performance initiated by Madeleine Cole, Enzo Hacquin and Sarah Olivia Klitgaard, in which the Fountain as a concept emerged following a residency at Pavillon K. The Fountain encapsulates themes of fluidity, circularity, ornamentation and the passing of time. A fourth performer in the piece, a fountain installation is present on stage, acting as a meeting place, a soundscape, and a timekeeper. The constant, yet everchanging quiet drip of the water creates a meditative environment. Alongside the fountain, various performative elements complete the stage: improvised sets of movements in various constellations, imaginary titles, water breaks, silence. How can all these elements contribute to ephemeral poetic narratives? What kind of dramaturgical progression can appear?
We will address these questions, seizing this opportunity to further develop “Cadavre Exquis”, an innovative and collaborative working method we developed as a collective.
