The Living Space—The Relational Field as Choreographic and Scenic Material
We wish to explore the living space—the relational field—as choreographic and scenic material.
We work with the ensemble as an organism, not as a group of individual performers. Through improvisational scores, we explore when and how a collectively experienced sense of presence arises, and how it can spread and influence the space and the audience.
Instead of focusing on movement as form, choreography as structure, or the performer as an individual expression, we turn our attention to what arises between us: in the exchange, the tension, the energy, and the sensory experience.
What does it mean to be human together—in very close proximity—in a theatrical context? How is intimacy perceived from the outside? When does a “we” emerge—and who wants to be part of it?
