Join us for the Danish premiere of the documentary film Så vidt er vi kommet by Helle Stenum:

Thursday d. January 23rd at 19:30 at the Experimental Station

The film is about the deportation of refugees from Denmark – past and present. It is about the deportation of Jewish refugees in the 1930s and German war refugees in 1945-49′ AND about today’s ‘deportation centers’ Kærshovedgård and Ellebæk. History does not repeat itself, but the political rhetoric about the refugees to be deported and rejected rhymes over time. The film is also about some of the people who are actively trying to change the conditions for refugees, and it asks: who tells the story, what is remembered and what is forgotten?

After the screening, we will open up for a Q&A with Helle Stenum. We want an open and free discussion of topics related to the documentary.

The event is a collaboration between Colonial History Center / Associate Professor Lars Jensen, Helle Stenum and Forsøgsstationen and is one of several upcoming activities that want to invite knowledge sharing and joint conversations from a decolonial, anti-racist and human rights perspective.
