Take care of caring

The project is based in contemporary dance research, investigating what an aesthetics of embodied care might look like. How can it be choreographed? Is there already such a choreography and do we need to challenge it?
With a starting point in various improvisational and somatic scores evolving around different witnessing-, supporting-, touching- and sharing practices, the project aims to explore the aesthetic dimension of embodied care and how that might be expressed through a set of tasks, movements, interactions and/or gestures.

Stine Laulund Albrektsen:
I’m a dancer and psychomotor therapist based in Copenhagen. My artistic work and interest lives in the intersection of somatic movement, dance improvisation, voice work and body therapy, and grows from a process-philosophical understanding of the body as always becoming. I work as a freelance dancer, movement teacher and researcher, and have a special focus on the relational potential in dance, both in my artistic research and as a teacher.
