New Library and Community Center at the Research Station
In an age where almost everything takes place digitally, where screens dominate our daily lives, and where knowledge is often reduced to quick clicks and fleeting algorithms, a counter-need arises. We need the physical
space. We need places where deep thought has the space to flourish, and where knowledge of the performing arts isn’t just data on a screen—here, you can touch it, leaf through it, and share it with others.
That is why Forsøgsstationen is now establishing a real library. It’s not just meant to serve as a systematic knowledge bank, but as a vibrant, analog meeting place—a space for slow thinking,
unexpected inspiration, and the physical encounters between people and expertise that the digital world struggles to replace.
The books are currently being cataloged and organized into more than 40 different subject categories, making it much easier to explore and find inspiration among the more than 1,400 titles already available at
. You can now search the collection and borrow books through the website.
Going forward, the Library will be open to anyone seeking inspiration and a place to immerse themselves in their work, and closed when it is made available to members who wish to book the space for a few hours of quality time alone
or a meeting in an inspiring setting.
Please help expand the library’s growing collection by donating a book on the performing arts.
