The human voice in connection with energy, the body, and acting.

-An investigation into the impact that energetic, physical, and acting-related work can have on a singing voice

 

Based on the work “Stripsody” by singer and composer Cathy Berberian, I will explore how energetic, physical, and acting-based work can influence the human voice. The work evokes a child’s world of curiosity, play, spontaneity, and joy. It features a continuous stream of comic-book characters and is therefore well-suited for exploring authenticity, primarily through improvisation.
