Explore your voice and its potential

Voicework workshop October 3–5, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., 2026, focusing on breath, body, voice, and Shakespeare’s words—inspired by Nadine George’s groundbreaking voice work.

The work is about realizing the potential of one’s voice. It was originally developed for actors, but in Angelina Kirchhoff’s work with the method, it has become clear that it also addresses universal human experiences. Finding one’s voice, taking one’s place, focusing one’s energy, and being able to direct one’s energy, voice, and focus to express what one wishes. Visit forsegsstationen.dk for information about Angelina Kirchhoff and her work.

Often your voice is much bigger and has more nuance and power than you imagine. It can be experiences from childhood, adolescence or adulthood that cause us to diminish ourselves.

Voice training is about exploring your voice and its potential, and in turn, your own potential. The tools are simple and you can take them with you.

A day will consist of

  1. part
Breathing exercises in pairs, guided by Angelina.
Followed by exercises involving movement in the space and focusing the gaze and breath.
    Group vocal warm-up.
    Individual vocal exercises.
  2. Part
    Working with voice and text.
We will be working with Shakespeare’s monologues (they will be sent to you, and you must know the monologue you
have chosen by the time the workshop begins).
The text work brings together work on the voice, focus, breathing, and dramatic expression

I’ve been working with Nadine George voicework for the past 20 years. Working with this method opened my eyes to how much potential we all have, both vocally and artistically.

We all have a much bigger voice and a much greater reach than we think, which we can use both on stage and in our encounters with other people.

The starting point for Nadine’s teaching is that you should feel comfortable in the space where we work together. It’s about opening up your voice to make room for all that it and you contain, so that you can take ownership of it and gradually implement the knowledge you gain about yourself in your work with your art and in your everyday life.
