The Fountain encapsulates themes of fluidity, circularity, ornamentation and the passing of time. A fourth performer in the piece, a fountain installation is present on stage, acting as a meeting place, a soundscape, and a timekeeper. The constant, yet everchanging quiet drip of the water creates a meditative environment. Alongside the fountain, various performative elements complete the stage: improvised sets of movements in various constellations, imaginary titles, water breaks, silence. How can all these elements contribute to ephemeral poetic narratives?
