            News from the main experiment “The sound of the audience”<\/span>
            \nNow the choir is well underway and becoming increasingly ‘tight’ both in terms of the actual delivery of the work, and the social outside. Tonight is the third time we have soup – and like last time, the choir itself has taken the initiative for the cooking. Last time a delicious potato-porridge soup by chorist Mai Sung and last night, where we were spoiled with a meal of Boeuf Stroganoff, made by chorist Troels Laurell and assisted by Tonny Bluecat. It’s great to see the choir starting to come together.<\/p>\n

            Now we have both t-shirts and postcards to make the SOUND OF THE PUBLIC visible and we are seeing a lot of interest in the project. Next week, a Go-card campaign will run throughout Copenhagen in 400 caf\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

            NOTE: If there is still someone out there who needs a final push out the door, now is the time! It is still possible to join and the training is fun and guaranteed effective mastery. Write if you would like to join us. Rehearsals are on Fridays from 16:30-18:30. Write to \u00d8yvind Kirchhoff for more information or to register.<\/p>\n

            \nWe would like to gather good forces to get this project to a good end and would still like to have volunteers to help with various practical tasks related to the project. If you know someone or would be interested in being part of the team, please contact \u00d8yvind Kirchhoff to find out more.<\/p>\n

            News from the main experiment “Aesthetics of Death”<\/strong><\/p>\n

            The experimental report on the first main experiment of the season “Aesthetics of Death” is just about to be published. The Aesthetics of Death, led by \u00d8yvind Kirchhoff, was held in October 2016, as a 5-day development project and an open knowledge sharing seminar. Read more here about the experimental work, the second part of a three-part study on “The Actor and the \u00dcber-Puppet”, which began in 2015. The third and final part of the trial will be carried out in the 17\/18 season.<\/p>\n

            The annual Nadine George workshop has ended in style…<\/strong><\/p>\n

            The workshop with Nadine George was packed and we got to try our hand at Ibsen. On the last day we had an open rehearsal where several colleagues, friends and family watched Nadine working with the participants. It was very interesting to work with the dialogues in Ibsen’s universe, and to get acquainted with one of his very last plays “John Gabriel Borkmann” – it is highly recommended to take a closer look at this little masterpiece. Very modern and topical theme. One realisation we shared was how widely different layers and dimensions each ‘pair’ found through the work, and what depth it brings to the work to explore through ‘pure’ text power and voice vibration. Many thanks to Nadine George for staying with this work and generously sharing her insights, through technique, with new and not so ‘new’ generations.

            This year’s Reumert nominations<\/strong>
            \nWe have several colleagues who have been nominated for a Reumert this year – and we congratulate them all! We are of course very proud and happy that more members and close partners are among them: Anette Asp Christensen for the nomination for the special award of the year for ‘Views from my grandmother’s kitchen’; Bo Madvig for the nomination for dancer of the year, for ‘Rammer’, GLiMT, Vendsyssel Teater and Limfjordsteatret; Maria Rich for the nomination for female ensemble role of the year, for ‘Living Dead’, Aarhus Teater and Sort\/Hvid; And our board member Catherine Poher for the nomination of the Open Dance performance “Tre Ben” in the category of dance performance of the year.<\/p>\n

            And Jesper Hyldegaard is nominated in the category of male lead of the year, for the role of a fisherman in “Lampedusa”, and we have a special share in that. The show is produced by Husets Teater, Kulturkontoret\/Akut360 and Fors\u00f8gsstationen, and has ‘our own’ Andreas Dawe as director and idea man. Congratulations from here!<\/p>\n

            Speaking of CPH Stage…<\/strong>
            \nWe are pleased to announce that we have signed an agreement with our member Mette Frank for the project “Bang unplugged”. We have given the team the opportunity to show the performance here at Fors\u00f8gsstationen during CPH Stage. This is one of the projects we have chosen to support (free of charge through trial and viewing) because of its special nature.

            About the show:
            \nHerman Bang’s famous short story “The Four Devils”, about the disciplined and ascetic lives of four trapeze artists, is a beautiful but bleak account of human existential loneliness. It is the story of forbidden love, and how love that is not grasped can feel so despairing.<\/p>\n

            In an arena shaped like a circus ring, two actors transform the passionate love story into captivating drama with a few stage moves. Using only body and voice, with simple, precise movements and clear timing, they, along with the four fearless devils, will plunge into the sensual, feverish tale of life’s fragility – and the vulnerability of daring to love.<\/p>\n

            New date for Platform in June<\/strong>
            \nThe next platform – where participants in the member trials share process and insights with each other and other interested parties – will be on Thursday 15 June at 17-20 instead of the first announced Friday June 16. Those interested can sign up through Lotte Faarup.<\/p>\n

            SANDY ISLAND<\/strong>
            \nThe member project Sandy Island – An Inter-Artistic Immersive Performing Arts Experiment explores how to engage the audience in an immersive theatre form and create a meaningful exchange between audience, stage and performer that contributes to the audience’s active co-creation of the work based on the Sandy Island phenomenon.<\/p>\n

            Stage director Niels Erling has conceived and re-enacted the project together with architect and scenographer Rasmus Strange Thue, and literary and cultural mediator Anders Thrue Djurslev, under the auspices of Haut.
            \nThe trial will take place between 9 and 18 May 2017. Read more about the trial here.<\/p>\n

            TOTAL!IN!<\/strong>
            \nThe TOTAL!DANS! stems from a recurring work with TOTAL!DANS! an interactive choreographic format for children in 1st-3rd grade. Ellen Kilsgaard started this work at the Experimental Station in 2013 and has worked 2-3 weeks each year on the project since then. The project is inspired by the main experiment TOTAL!TEATER! from the 2012\/13 season – come by and read Karen Vedel’s report on the project in our cosy library…<\/p>\n

            The experiment has two phases. The first phase is in week 20 and the second phase in week 36, 2017.

            \nThe weekly trainings are free for members and the schedule looks like this for the rest of the season:<\/p>\n

            Monday 8-11: MHS training
            \nWednesday 9-11: Voice training*
            \nFriday 9-10:30: Mask work<\/p>\n

            In addition, Rikke Liljenberg offers ShakespeareSundayLab on selected Sundays 10:30-13:00. Next time is the June 11, 2017.
