{"id":4539,"date":"2016-06-15T10:59:13","date_gmt":"2016-06-15T08:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.forsoegsstationen.dk\/2016\/06\/15\/newsletter-june-2016\/"},"modified":"2016-06-15T10:59:13","modified_gmt":"2016-06-15T08:59:13","slug":"newsletter-june-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.forsoegsstationen.dk\/en\/2016\/06\/newsletter-june-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Newsletter June 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Link to web version of newsletter <a href=\"http:\/\/eepurl.com\/b4bJMv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Platform arrangement  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Experimental Station will host a Platform Event on <strong>Friday 17 June 2016 from 17.00-21.00<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Platform is an artistic exchange in word and display between experimental projects held at Fors\u00f8gsstationen the last six months, led by Lotte Faarup and \u00d8yvind Kirchhoff from the artistic direction.<\/p>\n<p>Work is done both in small groups and in a larger plenary, focusing on the specific experiences of each trial and on common trends and interests.<\/p>\n<p>The event ends with a dinner.<\/p>\n<p>The platform is primarily for the trial participants involved, but other interested parties are also welcome, as long as you register at lotte(at)slotsherren.dk<\/p>\n<p>Deadline for registration is <strong>Wednesday 15 June 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Below you can see the trials the Platform includes this time:<\/p>\n<p>Experiments <strong>autumn 2015\/spring 2016<\/strong> at the Experimental Station<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Anette Asp Christensen<\/span><br \/>\nSecond Skin Experiment &#8211; The doll as a second skin: Using body fragments based on casts of their own bodies, the transition and encounter between doll and human is explored.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Theatre 1760\/ Ida Kenskov<\/span><br \/>\nKvarterl\u00f8ft &#8211; Based on the urban renewal of Vesterbro, the concept of renewal in relation to city, home and identity is examined.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Kristian Husted<\/span><br \/>\nEarth Year 2016 &#8211; Is there a particular perception of time in the European drama, a chronological perception of time that underpins and reflects the economic notions of growth, progress, development?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Julie Schmidt Andreasen<\/span><br \/>\nV Figurines &#8211; What do women share and in what ways can we empower and understand ourselves and each other?<br \/>\nWhat exercises in empathy are there through breathing, contact, sound and movement?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Jesper la Cour\/ The Narrative Theatre<\/span><br \/>\nStory Play &#8211; a study of the use of a creative and innovative tool in the creation of oral narratives as performing arts expressions, developed in a non-competitive context.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Nina Kareis, Pete Livingstone and Julie Forchhammer<\/span><br \/>\nQUIET &#8211; a study of a performing introvert form of expression.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00d8yvind Kirchhoff, Rolf S\u00f8borg Hansen and Malte Claudio Lind<\/span> \/ The main experiment at the Research Station 2015\/2016<br \/>\nThe \u00dcbermarionette and the Actor &#8211; an exploration of the relationship between the biological and the artificial body, between representation of the dead and representation of the living.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Seimi N\u00f8rg\u00e5rd and Boaz Barkan<\/span><br \/>\nHOME &#8211; Building and rebuilding from the known to the unknown. Research on audience involvement and ownership of a work and thus possibilities for a meditative presence.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ellen Kilsgaard, Anu Rajala-Erkut, Birgitte Lundtoft and Rosa Isaldur<\/span><br \/>\nDAILY DANCE &#8211; a weekly exercise group and physical think tank. Development of sensual dance practice.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Vera M\u00e4der\/ Hello Earth<\/span><br \/>\n&#8220;Liminal States of Mind in Participatory Performance Making&#8221; &#8211; 1st part of sleep experiment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Last time with &#8220;Get better with Shakespeare&#8221;  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The last workshop of the season &#8220;Getting Better with Shakespeare&#8221; will take place on Saturday 11 June 2016.<\/p>\n<p>It is in two parts:<br \/>\nIntroduction to Fitzmaurice Voicework for new and curious 11.00-13.30.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Get better with Shakespeare&#8221; training group meets from 14.30-17.00.<\/p>\n<p>For registration contact: rikkeliljenberg(at)gmail.com<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fitzmaurice Voicework Workshop at the Experimental Station<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There will be a Fitzmaurice workshop <strong>on Sunday 4 September 2016 from 10.30-16.30<\/strong> at the Experimental Station. There are three free places for members of the Research Station at the workshop.<\/p>\n<p>The title of the workshop is &#8220;Breath into Song and the Dramatic Moment&#8221; with and by Karla Nielson, Associate Teacher from New York, USA.<\/p>\n<p>Karla Nielson has Danish roots and will visit Fors\u00f8gsstationen in the summer of 2016, where she will give a workshop called &#8220;Breath into song and the Dramatic Moment&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Karla Nielson says about her workshop:<br \/>\nThis one-day workshop will explore Fitzmaurice Voicework as it applies to song and the dramatic moment when speaking becomes singing.<br \/>\nSingers and theatre makers who are familiar with Fitzmaurice Voicework as well as those with no experience are welcome.<br \/>\nPlease bring a song of any type and\/or some heightened lyrics to play with.<\/p>\n<p>Karla Nielson holds an MFA in Acting from the University of Delaware and an MM in Piano Performance from the New England Conservatory. She teaches voice technique (speech and singing) privately and is part of the teaching team of the Fitzmaurice Voicework certification programme.<br \/>\nFitzmaurice Voicework is widespread in the US and is starting to spread in Europe.<br \/>\nThe technique is known for tremoring, the body&#8217;s own form of healing &#8211; an involuntary shaking. The main aim is to release deep tensions that prevent free breathing.<br \/>\nIn the first part of the technique, destructuring, by gently challenging the body in a series of yoga-like postures, you get in touch with the primitive autonomic nervous system; tensions are released, breathing becomes freer and the body more sensitive to vibrations. You experience presence and spontaneity.<br \/>\nThe second part of the technique, restructuring, is about support and focus, about how we can make sure we use our voice in a healthy and effective way. The technique is a holistic form of voice training, combining elements of yoga, bioenergy and healing with traditional Bel canto singing techniques.<br \/>\nFor more info: www.fitzmauricevoice.com<\/p>\n<p>Fitzmaurice Voicework is used in the &#8220;Getting Better at Shakespeare&#8221; training group here at the Experimental Station.<br \/>\nThe workshop <strong>on 4 September 2016<\/strong> is a unique opportunity to work on technique in relation to singing. Rikke Liljenberg and Ellen Foyn Bruun, also certified trainers in Fitzmaurice Voicework, will assist Karla Nielson.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop will be held in English.<br \/>\nThere are 12 places.<br \/>\nPrice: 300 kr. There are three free places for members of the Experimental Station.<br \/>\nFor registration contact: rikkeliljenberg(at)gmail.com<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Olske Orkester is in full swing with the performance &#8220;Escape&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The artistic directors of Fors\u00f8gsstationen, Lotte Faarup and \u00d8yvind Kirchhoff, are behind a new site-specific work, &#8220;Escape&#8221;, which can be seen <strong>from 28 May to 12 June 2016<\/strong>. It is entitled &#8220;Escape&#8221; and has a duration of seven hours. It takes place at night.<br \/>\nThe work is described as &#8220;a night walk with a lost soul&#8221; and is written and directed by Lotte Faarup, with \u00d8yvind Kirchhoff playing.
