Workshoppen tilbydes gratis.

11-13 Workshop del 1

13-13.45 Frokost (medbring selv)

ENGLISH

TOOLBOX is a choreographic method developed by dancer and choreographer Tim Matiakis in 2022-23, in collaboration with Forsøgsstationen and supported by Bikubenfonden.

On November 25th, Tim invites you to a workshop around TOOLBOX.

TOOLBOX is a choreographic method consisting of five parts that are circularly related.

The method centers around the body in motion, as the primary source of creating meaning and understanding about dance and choreography.

TOOLBOX creates a structure around dancing, and experiencing dance on your own body, which leads to choreographic situations, which preserve the experiential sensation of being immersed in movement.

The method starts by delving into distinct physical modalities, which through adaptations and versioning create choreographic concepts, choreographic situations and choreographic material. All rooted in the body’s sensing, intelligence, knowledge and experience capacity.

The day starts with a warm-up to thereafter unfold the five parts of the TOOLBOX, in order to create a broad overview of the principles of this choreographic method.

The wish is to create a basic understanding for the participants, which they can subsequently explore further.

The workshop is offered free of charge.

Program:

10-11 Warm-up

11-13 Workshop Part 1

13-13.45 Lunch (bring your own)

13.45-16 Workshop part 2

16.30-18 Official launch of TOOLBOX with snacks and drinks.

Sign up for the workshop by sending an email to timmatiakis@gmail.com.

Please also write in the email if you want to participate in the official launch of the TOOLBOX from 16.30-18 in relation to catering.
